“Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.” Luke 17:19
On his way to Jerusalem, Jesus comes across ten lepers, who cried out to him to show mercy and heal them. Jesus responded in an interesting manner – he tells them to go and show themselves to the priests. In those days, if a person is healed from leprosy, he was supposed to present himself to a priest, who could declare him clean.
The ten lepers immediately took off and were healed on the way. This is one prime example of putting Faith into action, because they set off before they could see any evidence of healing. When one leper returned to thank Jesus, He affirms that his Faith had made him well!
Today, can we put our faith in action and respond to God’s call even before we see the outcome?
“Faith without works is dead!”
