The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Meekness and Gentleness!

“Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.” Philippians 4:5

Elephants are one of the strongest animals on the earth. These giants are tamed to be gentle when they are trained from a young age. The trunk of an elephant is strong enough to uproot trees and rip them off, but gentle enough to pick up blades of grass for food.

Gentleness is one of the fruits of the Spirit and is an important virtue. Meekness and Gentleness are used interchangeably in the Bible. However, Gentleness refers mostly to actions whereas Meekness is more of an attitude or state of mind. With the help of the Holy Spirit, we should learn to tame our hearts and minds to be gentle. May our gentleness reflect Jesus, leading people to Him, thus bringing glory to God!
