The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Let the Word Dwell Richly!

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom.” Colossians 3:16

“The word of Christ” refers to Christ’s teaching and the whole bible teaches about Him. All scriptures point towards Him. The scriptures are the word of Christ and they direct us to Christ as Savior and Lord. We need the abundant supply of fullness and completeness of God’s word for all of life. The more we dig into the Bible, the more we discover how little of it we understand and how much of it there is to understand. The word of Christ must be at home in us so that we are wisely applying it, both personally and with others. We cannot worship God in truth unless we know who He is as revealed in His Word. Thankful Worship begins by engaging our minds with the word of Christ.

For Word of Christ dwell in us richly, we must allow the Word to get deep into our being, nourishing our spirit and affecting our very soul, mind, emotion, and will. The Word of Christ dwells richly in us when we read the Bible consistently, make time to take in Word as food, eat it, digest it and even assimilate it into us by praying over it.
