“Your God has commanded your strength.” Psalm 68:28
Psalm 68 is a picture of the ascension of the Messiah, Jesus. The victories with which God blessed David over the enemies of Israel are types of Christ's victory, for Himself and all believers. David was grateful for the wonderful victory but also knew that many challenges were still ahead. Those who accept Christ as their personal Savior, are grateful for the wonderful victory Christ won to save them from eternal damnation through His mighty strength. God commands the same strength for our everyday battles and guarantees victory to the overcomers. The strength of the believer is Holiness. God has made every provision for a believer to lead a Holy life by giving His divine strength.
The Lord is our strength and our shield. We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. If we are weak today, let us hear the whisper of our Lord, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
