“There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses.” 1 Kings 8:56
King Solomon blesses the Lord during the dedication of the Temple and praises God for His faithfulness towards the Children of Israel. God gave several promises to Israelites through His servant Moses. In Exodus 29:45 God said, “I will dwell among the children of Israel and will be their God.” This promise was fulfilled when the First Temple of Jerusalem was built by King Solomon. It was as a permanent place of worship for God. God promised through Moses to make Israelites His special people, Holy Nation, a kingdom of priests and to give them the Sabbath for a day of rest.
Today, let us join King Solomon in praising God for His faithfulness for the new covenant which God established with us through Jesus Christ, the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, we are now God’s chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession. God gives a spiritual rest to all those who receive Jesus into their hearts as He is the only Way, the Truth and the Life.
