If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive our sins. 1 John 1:9
Meaning of Confession is admitting that one is guilty. It’s very easy to say ’thank you’, but it is very hard to say ’sorry’, and it’s even harder to admit that ’I am a sinner’.
But, when the Holy Spirit God convicts of our sin, the very same heart which was reluctant to say even sorry, would not rest until it pours out the sin in our heart.
And right when we confess all our sins, we have a God who forgives them. He cleanses us by the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ and hence, imputes HIS righteousness to us, so that we can be called Holy and are allowed into the presence of The Holy God.
Even as believers, we are required to continually confess our sins. Let us honestly confess all our sins in full extent, relying on HIS mercy and truth through the righteousness of Christ, for a free and full forgiveness, and our deliverance from the power and practice of sin.
