O Lord, God of hosts, restore us; cause your face to shine upon us and we will be saved. Ps 80:19
Today’s verse was the Psalmist’s earnest prayer:
1. To restore: from the emptiness, bitterness, pain, shame and distress.
2. To shine God’s face upon them: so that the former glory and their joy might be returned to them and their strength might be regained.
3. To be saved: from the oppression of the enemy.
1. To restore: from the emptiness, bitterness, pain, shame and distress.
2. To shine God’s face upon them: so that the former glory and their joy might be returned to them and their strength might be regained.
3. To be saved: from the oppression of the enemy.
Israelite's were God’s chosen people, loved by God. But they turned away in their sin and disobedience.
But when they truly repented and turned back from their ways, God heard their cry and healed their land in HIS appointed time, restored them with double portion as promised.
Are we lost in our ways and chasing after our own dreams?
Do we feel empty due to the lack of the presence of the Lord with us?
We are never too late. With a truly repented heart, call on the name of Jesus, and we will saved and restored!
