For from the rising of the sun, even to its setting, My name will be great among the nations… Mal 1:11
Though God loved Israelites, he rejected their religious offerings. He would not accept impure offering. He would rise people from the whole world who would give him pure offering, which would bring him glory, honor and would magnify HIS Name.
As God loved Israelites, He also loves us so much. He paid a huge price on the cross, and purchased us by the blood of Christ. God has the right to ask pure and utter devotion.
What kind of offerings are we bringing to the Lord?
In 1Chr 21, King David learnt a hard way, that he would not offer anything that would cost him nothing.
In Luke 21, Jesus said, the 2 mites of the poor widow was more than any of the offering.
It’s not about how much we do or give to the Lord, but how much it costs for us.Every offering that we bring is impure , if God is not supreme in our lives.
May we give to the Lord, the best of our time, talent and treasure with a pure heart and right attitude, with holy reverence, that HIS NAME might be honored amongst us.
