When the Israelites, under the leadership of Moses, were on their way to the promised land, God promised to bless them for as long as they were obedient to Him and lawfully followed all His commands.

There is always a reward for obedience. The rewards of obedience to God’s injunctions laid down in the book of Deuteronomy are so numerous that we cannot enumerate all here.
About Jesus Christ, the scripture records: “He was humble and walked the path of obedience to the extent of death; His death on the cross. For this reason, God raised Him to the highest place above and gave Him the name that is greater than other names.” (Phil. 2:8-9).
