The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

The battle is not ours!

“Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” (2 Chr. 20:15).

King Jehoshaphat of Judah and his entire army surrounded by their enemies, trapped and outnumbered. Judah’s army was faced with an impossible situation and seemingly no solution. But God gave them a great victory.

God owns our battles, and he instructs us, “You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you…” (2 Chr. 20:17). He wants us to rely entirely on Him and His wisdom. He will gladly bear our pain and struggles if only we hand it over to Him and ask earnestly for His deliverance. “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Pt.‬ ‭5:7‬).

We stand before a great and awesome Creator whose arm is not short that He cannot save us! (Is. 59:1). He’s the one who created it all; He’s the one who sustains us every moment!

(Ps. 54:4).
