Fear not … I will help you – Isaiah 41:14
“Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.” Here, Jacob is referred as worm, it shows the insignificance or smallness of man. Above passage tells that even though we really are nothing, God still cares for us.
Fear factor for each person is different, some are worried about health while others are worried about their future and so on. The phrase “Fear not” is reiterated multiple times in Isaiah 41 to affirm that God is in total control.
Fear leads to worry. When fear and worry combine it leads to anxiety. Anxiety leads to other physical health problems. Only way to overcome fear is by declaring the word of God over the situation. Scripture says, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God” – Phil 4:6
Prayer: Father God, help us not be anxious instead fill us with your peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus name I pray – Amen!!!
