The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

God lightens my darkness

When his candle shined on my head, and when by his light I walked through darkness – Job 29:3

Candle or Lamp in scripture represents life and prosperity. Job proceeds to contrast his former prosperity with current situation. In good days, Job was experiencing divine protection and close communion with God.  By Gods favor shining on him he was able to walk securely even through darkness.

Many of the blessings are not appreciated while we possess them. For example, before corona times we were able to gather in church, go out freely without fear, economy was thriving etc.  God never changes – James 1:17. The God of good times is God of bad times too.  These situations draw us closer to God and it will enable us to acknowledge the goodness of God with thankfulness, once we are out of the lock down.

For it is you who light my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness – Psalm 18:28

Prayer:  Father God, you are the sun and shield. No good thing you will withhold from those whose walk uprightly. In Jesus name I pray – Amen!!!
