The LORD is my strength and song …. And I will exalt Him – Exodus 15:2
In chapter 15 of Exodus, Moses and the Israelite's sang this song to the LORD after crossing the Red sea safely. Like Israelites we need to completely rely on God for our deliverance. Many motivational speakers speak about Self-efficacy but for a believer the strength is our Lord. “I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in Me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing” – John 15:5
Many a times people trust God in their lowly state but after receiving the blessings from the Lord, they will drift away from God. “But that is the time to be careful! Beware that in your plenty you don’t forget the Lord your God and begin to disobey him.”- Deuteronomy 8:11
We see many great men and women of God relied totally on God. David is the one even after becoming king of Israel he completely relied on God and exalted Him. “Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God” – Psalm 20:7. He believed God to be his strength.
Prayer: Father God, help us to delight in your word. The joy of the Lord is our strength and we will exalt you in all our situations. In Jesus name I pray – Amen!!!
