Leviticus 22:32. “And you shall not profane my holy name, that I may be sanctified among the people of Israel. I am the Lord who sanctifies you,”
It is crucial for us that we try to use Godly wisdom to understand the scriptures and the root of the verse, which leads us to true and holy ways and helps us to be prepared to respond accordingly. We read and often proclaim the verses without getting to know what God tries to communicate with us. Today’s verse God is telling us do not appear before Him with blind devotion and lame formality: theology is the great philosophy of life.—We cannot revere a redeeming God, and yet be careless about the moral condition of the people.—We cannot pray to a throne of mercy, and then seat ourselves upon chairs of judgment.—Our intensest should be expended upon the idea of true worship.—To have a small conception of God is to have a small conception of life.—To be irreverent in any degree towards Heaven is to be flippant in all our social relations.—When a man has come away from long and profound communion with a God of purity and tenderness, it is impossible for him to either sympathize with iniquity or to be impatient with weakness. As a debtor himself to the mercy of God, he is bound to be a creditor to the infirmities of his fellow-men.—When the intellect of the Church supersedes the worship of the Church, Ichabod “the glory of God is departed” may be written upon its doors. Let’s submit ourselves to Him and bring glory to His holy name by fully surrendering everything to Him by glorifying His name we can be holy to do all that He has planned for us before our conception.
Prayer: Dear Lord Heavenly Father mighty wonderful God, Lord, I surrender all to you and your holiness, help me reflect your holiness through me to all around me now and forevermore. In Jesus’s Holy name I pray Amen.
Have a blessed day!
