Romans 12:21 “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
Tit for tat (equivalent retaliation.) We’re very familiar with the old written law, ‘Love your friend,’ and its unwritten companion, ‘Hate your enemy.’ Jesus challenged by saying that. (I’m telling you to love your enemies.) Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. companion, ‘Hate your enemy.’ He taught us that when someone gives us a hard time, we must respond with the energies of prayer, for then we are working out of our true selves, our God-created us. This is what God does. He gives his best – the sun to warm and the rain to nourish – to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice and nasty. As believers, we must reflect Him by our actions.
Prayer: Dear Lord Heavenly Father, mighty wonderful God, Lord, thank you for another beautiful morning, another chance of living and growing under your grace. Lord, help me continue to grow each day in you receiving your grace to prepare to take and respond to my challenges with you each day. In Jesus’s Holy Name, I pray Amen.
