The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Focus on what matters most.

Matthew 9:2 “And behold, some people brought him a paralytic, lying on a bed. And when Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven.””
This is a great verse revealing the well-known story of Christ putting His focus on what matters most and fulfilling the purpose of His presence on earth. In a pretext of this verse, we observe the faith of the friends of the person with paralysis in bringing him to Christ, strong faith; they firmly believed that Jesus Christ both could and would heal him. A strong faith regards no obstacles. It was humble but an active dedication to bringing friends to Jesus. The great intention of the blessed Jesus in the redemption He shaped is to separate our hearts from sin. Our Lord Jesus has perfect knowledge of all that we say within ourselves. There is a great deal of evil in sinful thoughts, which is very offensive to the Lord Jesus. Christ designed to show that His great errand to the world was to save his people from their sins. He turned from disputing with the scribes, and spake healing to the sick man. Not only he had no more need to be carried upon his bed, but he had the strength to carry it. Similarly, when we receive the word for our healing, we received multiple blessings not to just our physical healing but an extra strength to overcome what we can’t believe we can ever be able to do. This not about just physical healing from our sickness; instead, it works in a single area of our life, no matter what we need to overcome the presence of sin in our nature. God must be glorified in all the power that is given to us to do good.
Prayer: Dear Lord Heavenly Father mighty wonderful God, Lord, thank you for continually working in my life every single day, one thing at a time, thank you for strengthening me more than what I asked or presume to have, May you Holy name be glorified in all what you have, is and will do in life. In Jesus’s Holy Name, I pray Amen.
Have a blessed day!
