Leviticus 20:7. “Consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God.”
When Lord calls us to Consecrate ourselves, He has a better plan for us to take us to the level we can’t imagine or expect. Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow the LORD will do amazing things among you. Many will say that it was an Old Testament teaching where work is necessary to receive His grace. All the Consecration, following laws of the book and practicing sacrifices. In Jesus Christ, the New Testament teaching is not about our work, but His righteousness and holiness complete our requirements and holiness for God. We become holy when we believe in Christ as our savior. Yes, that is a 100% true statement. Still, as long as we are in the human body, we tend to be tempted and sometimes tested, tempted by Satan to demoralized and tested by God to receive encouragement to receive our reward and to go to the next level of our faith. We always need to remember what our Lord Jesus Christ has taught us. We can’t claim our salvation unless we have Him (Jesus Christ) in our lives. We take His holiness and become holy with His holy body crushed, and precious blood poured out for us on the cross. We can become holy when we remember that Christ Jesus is living inside of us doing all that is holy and acceptable in His father’s eyes. So throughout our day, we must not forget it is not us, it is you who is living inside of us Consecrate us and keep us holy.
Prayer: Dear Lord Heavenly Father, mighty wonderful God, Lord, thank you for all that you have already done for me so I can be holy as you are holy so that I can be acceptable to my Holy God, my creator. With your body and blood inside me, I receive the power of the Holy Spirit to keep us Holy. With me, it is impossible, but with you, it is not. Empower me, oh my Lord, throughout my day. In Jesus’s Holy Name, I pray Amen.
Have a blessed day!
