The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Commitment to be obedient

Exodus 24:7 “Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it in the hearing of the people. And they said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient.””
Commitment of being obedient requires knowing and understanding. How one can commit to follow without reading, listening, and understanding the instructions. Obedience requires understanding and understanding requires a good solemn connection and full concentration. Imagine you have ordered something which requires some assembly and it comes with instructions and if we fail to understand those instructions by putting our own understanding we may end with the situation of reconstructing or rebuilding over and over and might mess up to receive the intended or expected outcome. Before committing you may require to hear, know and fully understand it before following. Let’s make our habit to start our day by knowing the word of God by reading and listening to His words. Ask God to provide us a wisdom through the Holy Spirit to understand what He has provided us for that particular day, and then commit yourself to follow those words as an instruction to reflect His grace and wisdom in response of every circumstance in our lives. Be encouraged, be focused and commit to obey.
Prayer: Dear Lord Heavenly Father mighty wonderful God, Lord, thank you for another beautiful day in my life, thank you for the words and the Holy Spirit to understand those words. Because without knowing and receiving the full understanding I might be strayed from the direction and instead of following the path you have for me I may go to my own journey. Committing to follow your commander and plan you have for me. Continue to lead me in the direction, helping me to be an obedient child of yours. In Jesus’s Holy name I pray Amen.
Have a blessed day!
