The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Trustworthy God

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. Jeremiah 17:7

The Prophet Jeremiah declares that those who trust and hope in the Lord are happy and content. The word of God encourages us to trust in the Lord and lean not on our own understanding, but in all our ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct our paths. Psalm 146:3 says “Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.” True safety and security is in our God alone.

The call today is to put our trust in God for He is a shelter in the midst of a storm, a very present help in times of trouble and our refuge and strength in times of weakness. When we truly trust in the Lord, our praise and worship to Him is unconditional and ever increasing, even in the midst of trials and fires of life. Trusting God does not mean that we are in denial of truth or danger, but that we have placed our worries before God and we have faith in Him to work it out on our behalf. Trusting the Lord during adversities gives us the ability to have peace that goes beyond all our understanding.
