…he who trusts in the LORD, mercy shall surround him. Psalms 32:10
In this Psalm David was a person who kept silent about his sin when it was destroying him and he is also the sort of person who turned to the Lord and received mercy. David understood what it was to live as a wicked when he sinned against the Lord and experienced sorrow. David repented and had a renewed experience of the mercy of God surrounding him. David felt like a person who had the right to expect nothing but received everything. That is what David experienced when God forgave him.
Not only God forgives our sin when we deserve judgement but also God surrounds us with his mercy. When we choose to follow God and His commands we end up experiencing God’s mercy. Choosing to trust and follow God and saying no to the world is an act of faith. It is showing God that we trust Him to provide all that we need that can only be found in Him. Whether it be emotional, physical, financial and above all else spiritual, God is able to answer our every need and direct us in the way that we should go.
