Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him… Psalm 91:14
Psalm 91 mentions God's protection in the midst of danger. God doesn't promise a world free from danger but He does promise His help whenever we face danger. This verse describes the confidence that the believer may have through all manner of dangers and challenges.
To set our Love upon God means to Love Him with our whole heart. The believer who loves God will spend time with God, will be ready to hear His still small voice and reads His written word, worships and praises Him, and shares the Good News. To such a man God will protect and deliver him. Let not the troubles of life drag us away from Him. But, may they draw us closer to Him. Certainly, in Christ alone, our hope is found!
