Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee. Psalms 55:22
Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Like many believers today, David was fearful of his growing number of enemies, overwhelmed by his many troubles but still David was enabled to turn his eyes on the Lord, and to cast his burdens upon Him – David knew that GOD would sustain him through every difficulty he faced, for GOD will never allow the righteous to be shaken.
Today we too are surrounded by terrors and threats, which cause many fears within. but throughout the Word of GOD we are reminded not to fear, for the Lord our GOD is with us, and we are encouraged to cast all our burden upon Him, for He cares for us.
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Jesus in our lives. Thank you for keeping us safe for the whole month of November 2020. Thank you for helping us through Holy spirit to meditate your word every day. Thank you for guiding us in every aspect of our lives. Give us a blessed month ahead to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ to the whole world, in Jesus name, AMEN.
