“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…” Rom. 12:2
Max Lucado once said, “Would you buy a house if you were only allowed to see one of its rooms? Would you purchase a car if you were permitted to see only its tires and a taillight? Nor would I”. Similarly, after God purchased us with His precious blood, He expects us to surrender him entirely and to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God.
Our God not only changes names (similar to Abram to Abraham; Jacob to Israel; Saul to Paul) but also transforms us completely. Once He transforms, we should not conform to this world. As the Bible says, “As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool repeats his foolishness,” we should not go back to our old life and live a sinful life. As temptation comes in our lives to conform to this world, as a safeguard, let us memorize Rom. 12:1-2.
Have a blessed day.
