Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD of hosts, the whole earth is full of His glory. (Isa 6:3)
In the book of Isaiah 6, we see that when Isaiah saw the holiness of God, he said, “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, …my eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty.” This means, as a sinner, when Isaiah saw God, he thought he would die. But God’s mercy cleansed him. One of the Seraphim flew to him, touched his mouth with a live coal, and by doing this, his iniquity was taken away, and sin was purged. He was able to stand in the presence of God as he became holy.
Like Isaiah, we were unholy. But by the mercies of our Lord Jesus and by His precious blood, we are cleansed and made holy. As we are made holy, let us sing a song joyfully, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the LORD of hosts, the whole earth is full of His glory.”
