The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Stand still and see the salvation of God

The Lord will fight for you while you keep silent. (Ex. 14:14)

We are a people of hurry and wanted to get things quickly and immediately. As generations pass by (Baby Boomers to Gen X to Millennials to Gen Z), patience and waiting time is deflating. Patience, faith, and self-control are part of the fruit of the Spirit.

While Israelites were crossing the Red Sea, Egyptians came with a big army, horses, and chariots to attack them. When Israelites saw this scene, they were afraid. But Moses encouraged, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation… The Lord will fight for you while you keep silent.” As Israelites stand still, God fought on behalf of Israelites. Instead of trying to intervene in God’s work, let us all dependent on God and stand still so that God will do wonders in our lives.
