The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Bless the Lord, O my soul

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. (Psa. 103:1)

Psalm 103 reminds us of the many benefits that God has showered upon us. God forgives all our iniquity (3), redeems our life from destruction (4), crowns us with steadfast love and mercy (4), satisfies us with goodness (5). For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy towards us.

This Psalm also reminds us that we are like grass and as a flower. If a wind passes over it, the flower withers. Even though we are born as sinners, God has shown His mercy towards us and sent His Son Jesus to die for our sins. As far as the east is from the west, he removed our transgressions from us so far. As God has blessed us, let us not forget His benefits; instead, let us bless the Lord with our souls and all that is within us and let us bless His holy name.
