The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Do not be afraid!

Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today. Ex. 14:13
A human instinct when we are in danger is to run. With the Red Sea before them and the enemy behind them, the Israelites were trapped. they couldn’t see a way to run. Right into that moment, Moses instructed the fear gripped Israelites, to do two things. “Do not be afraid” and “Stand still”. Both of them sound so impractical in the situation they are in.
Yes indeed! The Israelites saw the salvation of the Lord that day in an extra ordinary way. God parted the Red Sea, they walked on the dry land, Egyptians were drowned. God had accomplished their deliverance in an unimaginable way.
God’s deliverances are not limited to human capabilities. He is more powerful than our enemy and an all-sufficient God to deliver us from any trap. He just wants us to depend on Him for His strength.
Does it seem like you are trapped and there’s no way out? Be encouraged that God will make a way where there seems to be no way. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can ask or imagine. Just be still and see the Salvation of the LORD!
