“O man greatly beloved, fear not! Peace be to you; be strong, yes, be strong!” Daniel 10:19
Daniel mourned and prayed for 21 days when a message was revealed to him in the third year of king Cyrus, on the 24th day while he stood by the Tigris river, he saw a Vision of the Glorious Man, many Bible Commentators say, it is the vision of Jesus Christ as it is very similar to Rev. 1:12-16. After Daniel saw this great vision no strength remained in him. Suddenly, an Angelic Messenger came to touch and speak to Daniel, then he feared and trembled at the messenger’s words. The Messenger explains how Daniel’s humble prayer reached God the very first day and the reason for the delayed answer due to spiritual warfare with the Prince of Persia behind the physical world. After hearing these words, Daniel became speechless and weak, then the Messenger touched his lips, strengthened him, asked him to hold his peace and be strong as he is going to reveal the destiny of Israel.
Daniel is a man greatly beloved because he is faithful, fine in character, humble with an unblemished record, hence God shared His secrets and Daniel Prophesied, be encouraged we too have the same God Who loves us the same way He loved Daniel despite our unfaithfulness. Are you afraid of an unknown future? Remember, the Presence and Peace of God will strengthen us to tackle any situation. God is fighting our battles in the spiritual world and gives us victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. On earth, we may seem lowly and weak, but we have the mightiest representative of all in heaven.
