Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
During the days of king Hezekiah, prophet Isaiah has prophesied the Israel captivity into Babylon because of their iniquity. God spoke to Isaiah to speak comfort to Jerusalem, and to cry out to Jerusalem that her warfare is ended, that her iniquity is pardoned, and he spoke so many comforting words to strengthen them despite their sins. God has personally called the Israelites out of the world to Himself, to be His very own possession and to bless them over all the earth. They are chosen, called, and not rejected. So, they do not need to fear the same things as the other nations. God is the one who called them, and He is the one who will take care of them despite all their sins. If it was true in the Old Testament, it is much more true for us those who live under a greater revelation, and a better new covenant through our Lord Jesus Christ. Even Disciples of Jesus Christ were afraid when they were short of wine at a wedding in Cana, and when they had to feed five thousand, but Jesus did miracles.
Is there some fear that is gripping your heart? Be encouraged, it is the promise of God to us, mentioned about 365 times in the Bible, which says- ‘Fear Not!’, because we are assured of God’s promises through our Lord Jesus Christ. Our loving God who is the Creator and sustains the entire universe is with us and has control over every situation. When we go to God, He will strengthen and help us, as He upholds us with His righteous right hand, Jesus Christ.
