But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:4
During 9 months gestation period, several processes take place within a mother’s body to form a perfect, complete human baby and to bring the baby onto the earth. Similarly, the moment we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, we become spiritually alive, however, we will not spontaneously become perfect or complete. The Holy Spirit works in us to produce fruit of the Spirit which has the character traits of the nature of Christ. We will only be perfect when the image of Christ is formed in us, the likeness of Christ is the Maturity of a Christian. Life on earth is the gestation period of a Christian, to develop character traits of Christ (Fruit of the Spirit), that we may be perfect and complete to live joyfully in heaven forever. Patience is one of the character traits of Christ, which is worked out amidst trials, temptations, pain, suffering, and waiting. Patience is the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset. Patience strengthens our character, deepens our trust in God, and gives great confidence about the future.
Both Graphite and Diamond are composed of Carbon, however, the value of each is incomparable because Diamond is formed when carbon patiently endures Time, Temperature, and Pressure. Be encouraged, if your Faith is being tested, God is making a Diamond out of you.
