The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory. Psalm 24:10
God is first called ‘LORD of Hosts’ or ‘God of armies of heaven’ in (1 Sam. 1:3), which means God is Self-existent, Redemptive, and Almighty. God is universal ruler over every force whether in heaven or earth. Psalm 24 was sung on the first day of each week in the temple services. David might have possibly asked ‘Who is this King of Glory?’ when God promised David, saying, ‘I will set up your seed after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom’ (2 Sam. 7:12). God fulfilled His promise When Jesus Christ came from the line of David after several generations, Who is the King of glory. Jesus is not only the glorious King of Israel but also King of the world, over all kingdoms of the earth, He is the Messiah Himself, eternal, holy, and mighty. The sovereign LORD of hosts has the grace to always be there for the one who comes to Him through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. The King of glory, who commands the armies of heaven and who will eventually defeat all His enemies in this world, is none other than Jesus Christ. He is the LORD of hosts.
Open the gates of your heart, receive Jesus as your King, and bow down before His eternal Throne to worship this King of glory.
