What shall I render to the LORD For all His benefits toward me? Psalm 116:12
Even if we live for ten thousand years, we can never repay the LORD for all His benefits. God loads us with benefits every day, His mercies are new every morning. Today, pause for a moment and count all His benefits towards you. Thank God for our very existence, for life, for health, family, protection, guidance, education, civil rights, gracious gifts, nature, etc., and every other earthly blessing. If God is so gracious enough to bless us with all these benefits for a perishable physical life, He is much more gracious to bless us spiritually hence He did not spare His own Son but delivered Him up for us all. The psalmist is full of gratitude as the LORD had delivered him from death’s door. The situation looked as if he was going to die, but the LORD stepped in, in the nick of time. Similarly, we too have been delivered from eternal death’s door to eternal glory through Lord Jesus Christ and God has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places through Him.
When we invest in something, certainly, we expect a return on the investment. The LORD has invested His own life in us and now it’s our turn to render unto Him as long as we live by lifting up the cup of our Salvation and offer our sacrifice of praise, pour out our heart of gratitude to Him for our great salvation, tell others of the wonders of His grace and mercy, seek to do His will with an obedient heart which overflows with love for our gracious Savior.
