The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Walking in True knowledge of God.

May grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. – 2 Peter 1:2

Today's verse implores us to gain True knowledge while on our earthly journey.
Not knowledge that puffs up (1 Cor 8:1), but knowledge which leads us in the right walk with Jesus Christ.
Verses 5-7 outlines a few qualities, a believer should make an effort on.
faith (in JC), moral excellence, knowledge, self-control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection, love.

These qualities as stated by Peter, differentiate us from others and help us to be used by Almighty as stated in the proceeding verse.
For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they make you useful & productive in the true knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. v8.

When we came to know Christ & were born again, we barely knew Christ but as time goes on, we read the word and know him more intimately, thereby developing these qualities and transforming into his Image. Just like a newborn child whose features aren’t recognizable, but as they grow up, we can find resemblances to their parents.

Verses 9,10,11 – encourages us not to be negligent but to be diligent with the above, so our entrance into the eternal kingdom is abundantly supplied.

So, let us be diligent in knowing our God & accruing these qualities, so grace and peace may be Multiplied.

For starters: Peter in v1 talks about Jesus as God and Savior; & then separates them in v2 – of God and of Jesus our Lord. It's good to gain knowledge about our Triune Godhead. Our finite minds cannot comprehend an infinite God, but we should make an effort, nonetheless.
