The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Fathers Equipment

For we are God’s fellow workers/coworker; you are God’s field, God’s building. – 1 Corinthians 3:9

To summarize today’s Verse, we are called workers with God , & workers who are being worked on (at the same time), like a farmer does ( i.e. tilled & mowed & so on ) & Gods infrastructure per say, where Christ is our foundation and all of us are building blocks.

In short, God intends to use all of us to do his work and not One or a few, in order to build his kingdom, brick by brick at a time. We are his construction equipment, where Jesus is the foundation or a field where Jesus is the Bed rock.

Paul gives us this illustration, for a reason, we touched upon yesterday. Paul calls Corinthians as children and not adults, as they weren’t growing up in the grace of God. He was still feeding them spiritual milk and not Meat. It’s a reminder for all of us that we should have growth in our spiritual walk and should not be stunted.

Paul gives reasons for the above as well.

Jealousy and quarreling – seems like this was widespread issue with Corinthians & hence he called them as worldly Christians.

Paul or Apollos – in addition, the above also led them to believe, ones work as better than other. Possibly one believing their denomination etc. are better than others.

Paul then corrects them & states that, while doing God’s work, we should grow over the above and there shouldn’t be any hindrances in us, being used by God. Ultimately, it is God who makes things grow v7. And finally, all the work we do, will be rewarded after being tested by fire, either as Gold which is precious or as Hay that burns up. v12

So, let us examine ourselves, if there are any hindrances in our Lives or any stunted growth & be diligent to know Him and grow in Him, to be used by Him and for His Glory.

Prayer: Dear God help us to walk worthy of your calling and to be used by you. Give us the strength that we may love one another, and May be able to look beyond denominations & principles. Forgive us and guide us when we fail thee.
