…. Do not be unbelieving but believing – John 20:27
After resurrection Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene and to the disciples on various occasions. When the disciples updated Thomas about Jesus appearing and showing Himself to them, Thomas didn’t believe it. But he said to them, Unless I see the nail marks in His hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe – John 20:25. It is recorded in John’s gospel that Jesus appears to Thomas and then he will believe (John 20:27)
Uncertainties around us like loss of loved ones, pestilence, rumors of war etc., shakes our belief. When we reel under unbelief like Thomas what should we do? Like David we need to again fall into the hands of God. We need to ask God to help in our unbelief – Mark 9:24
Scripture says, blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe – John 20:29.
Prayer: Father God, please help us not to lean on our own understanding but to trust you in all circumstances. In Jesus name I pray – Amen!!!
