The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

God is our Restorer

Then you will know that I am the Lord Ezekiel 36:11

In the preceding sentence of the above verse, God is assuring restoration to His people (Israelites).  After the people of God were conquered and taken into exile to Babylon, enemies started to occupy their territories.  God is saying that He will bring back the people and restore to its former glory.

Our God is faithful and covenant keeping God. Though He abandoned Israelites for a brief period because of their disobedience, He is promising restoration (double portion blessing) so that all the neighboring nations and His own people will know that He is the Lord and there is no other god beside Him. Weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morningPsalms 30:5

Scripture says, For He wounds, but He also binds; He strikes, but His hands also heal – Job 5:18. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime.

Prayer: Father God- even when we fail you, you always remain faithful towards us. Help us to rely on your promises and trust that you are our restorer. In Jesus' mighty name I pray -Amen!!!
