Let my mouth be filled with your praise and with Your glory all the day – Psalms 71:8
By reading the succeeding verses we know that Psalmist has written this verse in his old age.
Most likely when his own son Absalom raised his fist against him. David in his despair is crying out to the living God. He is asking God to help him to praise in his adverse situation.
It is easy to praise God during good times or when He performs a miracle or when there is a breakthrough, but it is very tough to praise Him during adverse situations. Is it possible to praise him at such a hopeless situation? The living testimony is Bro JC Rao. In one of our church sermons he testified at the age of 49 in the year 1989, when he lost his wife, he praised God along with his children in his home in Delhi.
The above testimony reminds us of worshipping God in the splendor of his holiness not only in the mountain experience but in the valley too. Bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth – Psalms 34:1
Prayer: Father God, help me to be filled with your praise all the days of my life. May I sing your praises while I have my being. In Jesus name I pray – Amen!!!
