But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3:3
Apostle Paul in Thessalonians Chapter 2 talked about the coming man of lawlessness and the deception he pours out on humankind. He warned the Thessalonian church that this evil person would oppose all that is good and would exalt himself above object of worship even to entering God’s sanctuary and proclaiming himself to be god. But Paul also joyfully reminds us that God is faithful, and He has promised to establish us in the faith and guard us against the evil one.
The Bible repeatedly reminds us that we are in a spiritual war with forces that are strong, malicious, and evil (Ephesians 6:10-12). Therefore, we must be aware that we have a powerful enemy, who desires our downfall and destroy our faith. We should not involve ourselves in anything related to Satan and his work. But we also need to remember that our Lord is greater than evil one. We serve a good and faithful God, who has promised to work His good work in all our lives and establish each one in every good work. He is faithful and He will not abandon us. He will strengthen us and protect us from the evil attack.
