The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

God our Deliverer

Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me. Psalms 50:15

In this verse we see that there is one command and two promises embedded in it. The first part is a command from God to call on Him when we are in trouble. During trouble, the Lord encourages us to call on Him. He desires for us to call on Him when we need something. He wants to hear from us in our problems and struggles just as much as in our victories and triumphs. Calling out to God is a privilege that we as believers possess as a right. When we cry out to Him, we reach out to the only One capable of the impossible. The second part is an amazing promise that God gives us. If we call on Him, He will deliver us. He only gives us His promise to answer regardless of how many times we call out to him

The third part is another promise from our God and also the one we owe to God. This promise through which we can display God’s glory to the world. When God answers we often tend to forget Him and think we solved the problem ourselves. But when we pray and He answers and we recognize His hand of provision we tend to glorify Him. We rob God of His honor and fail to glorify Him when we do not recognize that He was the one who rescued and provided for us.
