The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Walk by the Spirit

…walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh.  Gal. 5:16

As believers in Christ Jesus, we are called to live in the Spirit, to pray in the Spirit, and to walk in Spirit and Truth. As Christians, we are called to live a spiritual life and not to be carnal, to bear the fruit of the Spirit, and not to produce our own works of the flesh. To live under grace and not under the law. As disciples, we are to walk by the Spirit, for in so doing we will not carry out the desires of the flesh.

To walk by the Spirit is to walk away from sin by having the sin nature cleansed by the pure righteous blood of Jesus. We can only walk by the Spirit when we place our lives under His full control. We can only walk in spirit and truth when we are led by the Holy Spirit of truth and guided by His Word of truth. To walk by the Spirit, God requires us to be willing to submit to His will and authority in every situation we meet, listen to His voice, trust His word and depend on Him alone. Not relying on our own human abilities, actions, and strength.

May the Lord help us to listen to His voice, submit to His will, and be obedient to His correction and walk in the newness of life.
