Mark 11:9 “And those who went before and those who followed were shouting, ‘Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’”
Today’s passage is a glimpse of Jesus’s entry to the Holy city. The political and religious iconic place of three major nations on the earth. He entered with people rejoicing and proclaiming the blessings they have received. Though at that time they were expecting a king who can just help free them from the oppression of Romans. Till now they still are expecting a Messiah that will bring world peace and prosperity.
They (Israelites) are still waiting for the one who can set up a worldly kingdom and overcome and concur the world to bring physical peace to all nations. Even You told them Your kingdom is out this world. Lord help us today to be prepared and ready to welcome You in life with the shout of “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord” in our lives and let You setup Your kingdom inside me and show Your glory through my work towards other. Help me Lord to be ready to welcome You on Your final triumphal entry to take us with You in Your kingdom where there’s no pain and no suffering.
Let’s pray and prepare ourselves to welcome our king for His final triumphal entry.
Promise: “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.”
Prayer: Dear Lord Heavenly Father mighty wonderful God. Lord, thank You for the truth of Your Word which tells us the end from the beginning. Thank You that Your promises to Israel still stands, despite their ages of centuries of unbelief, and thank You that Your promises to me and the whole Christian Church remain “yes” and “amen” in Christ Jesus, my Savior, despite the times that my faith has failed and my pride has caused me to forget You. May I live and work to Your praise and glory. Lord, what amazing grace, that You should send Your only begotten Son to come to earth as the heavenly Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the world, and also as the human son of king David, Who will set up a kingdom of peace and prosperity on earth. Thank You that You loved the world so much that You chose to send Your Son to die on the cross so that we might live. Thank You that Your plan of redemption does not exclude anyone, and all who call on the name of the Lord in faith will be saved. Help me to live my life in a way that honors Your name, and thank You that all Your plans and purposes for the salvation of mankind, and the restoration of the world. Lord as I live the life You have given and have done, already doing and plans to accomplish through me for the rest of my life in this world. As long I live, I praise You, honor You, bring glory to Your holy name, and welcome You to set up Your holy kingdom at the right time. In Jesus’s Holy Name, I pray Amen.
Have a blessed day!
