1 Thessalonians 5:14 “And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all.”
Nowadays we tend to keep ourselves away from each other business, or when encouraging each other we hardly take God with us. Truly we skip the beautiful instructions Apostle Paul has given. He clearly said that once we are called, we no longer have a choice to stand aside and watch, or just use words and post our heartless sentiments on social media. We must prepare ourselves with words of God and His Holy Spirit to advise us where we are needed, we must equip ourselves to encourage with the promise of Christ to be ready to become part of a team player, we must not just be a sayer instead show our strength to step forward to help and carry each other burdens. Emotionally and physically. Do not use the same style in all conditions, be vigilant and act with discernment.
There is a basic assumption behind Paul’s exhortation here: Every Christian is a gifted believer-priest with a ministry to fulfill. Every passage that discusses spiritual gifts emphasizes that each believer has a gift that he or she is to use in serving the Lord. As Peter states (1 Pet. 4:10), “As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” (See, also, Rom. 12:3; 1 Cor. 12:7; Eph. 4:12-16.)
Ask God our Lord to prepare us and use us as a minister to work together to show His work and His glory. Be ready to receive all the blessings in this world and enjoy the everlasting blessings with our creator and redeemer. So let’s not sit on the sides, step forward by reaching out to the Lord our God taking His direction, and move forward as Holy Spirit leads you.
We are chosen and placed to fulfill His purpose, so let’s get up and start walking.
Promise: “You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.”
Prayer: Dear Lord Heavenly Father mighty wonderful God. Lord, thank You that by grace through faith in Christ I have become Your child. I pray that I may abide in Christ and that in Him I will bear much fruit to Your praise and glory. Thank You, Jesus, that You are the Vine and we are your branches. Help me day by day to abide in You and to be fruitful in all we say and do. Jesus, we know that without You we can do nothing, but we also know that as we rest in You we can bring forth the sort of fruit that is pleasing to the Father. We want to abide in You, rest in You, and remain in You. In your Holy Name, we pray Amen.
Have a blessed day!
