He shall speak peace to the nations… And from the River to the ends of the earth. -Zech 9:10
The prophet Zechariah refers to the second coming of Jesus in the above verse. when Jesus Christ returns, to conquer all enemies and establish his universal rule of peace and joy in all over the world.
Zechariah’s prophecies are not descriptions of historical events that he happens to have written in advance. They are a revelation of God’s purposes given to instruct, warn, encourage, guide and inform his people. Their fulfillment may take different forms in different eras.
Zechariah says, in His second coming, He will come riding upon a white horse to establish His earthly kingdom. So, he came the first time to die for our salvation, but the next time He will come to reign.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for Jesus, my most wonderful savior. Thank You that Your word of truth wrote history in advance so that we would know that Jesus is the Son of God, who takes away the sin of the world. and thank You that one day once again he is coming to set peace all over the universe.
