The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

He gives strength and power!

The God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people. Psalms 68:35

A meaningful and personal relationship with God can give us inner energy and strength that can sustain us. Engaging in spiritual exercises like prayer, reading the Bible and abiding in God’s presence can help us tap into special power that only God can provide. When we believe and trust what we read in scripture and in how God works, our hope is bolstered. This strong belief and hope, grounded in scripture, can give us strength.

The God who is actively involved in the life and victory of His people is worthy of praise.

Just think of what a mighty God we have! He rules over the skies and seas; He dwells among the mountain grandeur, and yet, He is never too busy to meet our needs. He’s a father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, and he even sets the lonely in families!

At times the people whom we trust, disappoint us. They may not understand our struggles. Truly, each one of us would have undergone different types of painful events. And these struggles make us weak and feel hopeless. But scripture says, “the Lord gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak”. How comforting these words are! The faithful people in the scriptures always received their strength and power from the Lord whenever they felt weak and weary.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, how I praise and thank You for the wonderful works of Your hand and the awesome deeds that You have done for me. How awesome are Your works and how great is Your power. All the earth will worship You and sing praises to Your holy name, for You alone are worthy of our honor and thanksgiving, our worship and praise. In Jesus’ name I pray, AMEN.
