The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

God is Spirit!

“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”” John 4:24

God is eternal and God is Spirit and God made man in His own image and likeness and at the innermost core of man’s innermost being we have a human spirit, which was designed for ‘spirit to Spirit’ fellowship with our God: (a mutual, loving communion with our heavenly Father).

Worship is an inner attitude and feeling of awe, reverence, gratitude, and love toward God resulting from a realization of who He is and who we are.

The Spirit in whom we worship is the Holy Spirit, whom Jesus has given to those who believe in him. And the truth in which we worship is the identity of Jesus as the Son of God.

On the Day of Pentecost, like living water, the Spirit was poured out on Jesus’ apostles and on those who were baptized in his name
(Acts 2). Soon after, the truth of Jesus was spread throughout Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the remotest parts of the world. With this truth, came the Spirit of God. Now the Father has a multitude of worshipers – both Jew and Gentile – who do not worship in Jerusalem or Samaria, but worship in full acceptance of the truth and in the Spirit of God, who lives within us.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, Your Word, in submission to the Holy Spirit and in total dependence upon You, so that I may worship You as You desire in spirit and in truth, to Your praise and glory, in Jesus name I pray, AMEN.
