If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land – Isa 1:19
“Even an ox knows its owner, and a donkey recognizes its master’s care— but Israel doesn’t know its master. My people don’t recognize my care for them.” These are strong words written at the beginning of the book of Isaiah. Israel went away, they have forsaken the LORD, they have provoked the LORD to anger, they have turned their backs on the LORD.
Due to the disobedience, the people of Israel were not experiencing the blessings of the LORD. Even though they were doing religious efforts, there was no use. Even though they were fasting and praying, God was not listening. Isaiah condemned their wrongdoing and hypocrisy. If they are willing and obedient to God, God promised that “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool… and shall eat the good of the land”
Let all of us keep Jesus as our LORD and be obedient to His word, so that not we shall see the good of the land!
