…faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. 1 Tim. 1:15
In today’s verse, along with “faithful saying,” it also adds “worthy of all acceptance,” which emphasizes that the statement is undoubtedly true. Jesus Christ also emphasized that He did not come into the world to save the righteous but to save sinners, who are lost (Luke 19:10).
Paul from Tarsus, who wrote this verse, persecuted the early Church more zealously than anyone else. On the other hand, he also understood and preached the grace of Jesus and forgiveness than anyone else. After changing from Saul (old name) to Paul (new name), he confidently wrote that Jesus Christ came into this world to save sinners like him. He understood and confessed that he was the chief sinner and accepted Jesus as his savior by knowing that neither his works nor anyone else gives salvation.
As this is worthy of all acceptance, do you accept and believe that Jesus Christ came into this world to save you? If not, believe in Him so that today is the day of your salvation, and you have the assurance of eternal life!
