The LORD has chosen Zion, He has desired it for His dwelling. Psalm 132:13

Do not take the grace of God for granted

For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection – Rom 6:5

After being born again, Bible is clear that we should put off our former conduct, the old man who grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts. Instead, we need to renew in the spirit of our mind and put on the new man created by God's grace, in true righteousness and holiness.

However, some people keep on sinning, thinking that God can show us more and more of His grace and take the grace of God for granted. Today's verse is an excellent reminder that when we were joined with Jesus Christ in baptism, we joined Him in His death. We died and were buried with Christ by baptism. As Jesus was raised (resurrection) from the dead by God's glorious power, we are also brought into the new life by His power. Who goes back to the typewriter era as laptops have more advanced technology? So is, when we have more power and freedom in Christ, who goes back to our former conduct? That is foolishness!
