“My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness” – 2 Corinthians 12:9
Grace is defined as ‘God’s unmerited favor’. It is something we cannot achieve based on our goodness, but by His good pleasure. In fact, we are saved and alive today only because of the amazing grace of God.
Apostle Paul had a thorn in His flesh, which could be a physical weakness and he pleaded God to remove it. Instead, God responded saying that His grace is sufficient to him in his situation. No matter the physical, emotional, spiritual challenges/weaknesses we might be going through, God wants to remind us that His grace is sufficient for us in all circumstances. When we hit the rock bottom of our lives and cry out to God, we can see His power being manifested and bailing us out of our situations.
We serve an all-sufficient God who can turn our greatest weakness into our greatest strength. So, we can say like Apostle Paul in v10: “When I am weak then I am strong”
