“He who touches you touches the apple of His eye.” – Zechariah 2:8
The apple(pupil) of the eye is in the center of the iris. The function of the pupil is to allow light to enter the eye so it can be focused on the retina. This is a very delicate and the most important area of that vital organ. Also, the iris which holds the pupil is completely unique to every individual.
God is calling you and me as the apple(pupil) of His eye. In other words, the Almighty God is calling us precious and dear in His sight. What a privilege to be called precious in the sight of God! Jesus proved that we are precious in His sight by coming down into this world and giving His life to redeem us(buy us back). Since we are precious in His sight, we can be assured of His protection and providence!
“Don’t be afraid…for you are very precious to God. Peace! Be encouraged! Be strong!” – Daniel 10:19
